An abstract that showed me what it wanted to be, rather than me telling it. And this is the process of abstract painting, to let the process be my guide rather than me being the guide. A difficult task of a lot of letting go, but one that reveals so much wonder and power. The landscape of the foothills only revealed itself later and allowed me to follow its path.
