"Softly Falls the Sky". CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE
20 x 30”
This painting started out as a demo for a workshop I taught recently, but the choice of subject was one I knew I loved. The West Coast, among the Gulf Islands, somewhere in a peaceful inlet. When I started it, in front of a class of students, because of its peaceful nature I was still able to absorb myself completely in the beauty and quietness of it. And yet talked about process, style and technique. I think this is the way with places I love, they resonate with my soul even while I might be working or in some other way engaged. The strength of their stillness overrides everything.
