This was inspired by some rainy days lately…. not too often we get thunderstorms here in Calgary, but when we do, they are dramatic! I love to sit out on my covered balcony and take in all the lightning and thunder. The drama is amazing! This painting is intended to emulate the prairies and foothills all around us here in Alberta. I suppose this landscape is so much a part of my own DNA that it can be said to be just from my memory or knowledge, rather than truly imagination. The colours of this painting accentuate the drama and vividness of a stormy land….
